Following the 9th International Symposium on Fossil Algae held in Zagreb, Croatia, 2007, the 10th Symposium will be held in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, from Monday 12 to Sunday 18 September 2011.

The Symposium will be organized by the Geological Department of the Babeş-Bolyai University, in collaboration with the Department of Geology, Bucharest University. The official language of the Symposium is English.

Program

12-15 September: Pre-Symposium field trip: Eastern Carpathians (Haghimaş Mountains, Dâmbovicioara region) and western border of the Transylvanian Basin.

16-17 September: Scientific sessions: Cluj-Napoca, at the Babes-Bolyai University

18 September: Post-Symposium field trip: North-Western part of the Transylvanian Basin
