March 22th, 2022

Babeș-Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca (UBB) will host, during 24th-25th March 2022, the reunion of the EUTOPIA university alliance (https://eutopia-university.eu/).

Ten rectors of some of the most important universities in ten European countries (including UBB/Romania) will be present at UBB, in Cluj-Napoca, together with their teams (vice-rectors/project managers).

The topic of the reunion is Be Connected. Be Innovative, reflecting both academic and social connections (i.e., UBB a new member of EUTOPIA, joint efforts of EUTOPIA members and the relationship EUTOPIA has with other academic and social stakeholders), as well as local/regional and global innovative efforts resulting from such connections.

„UBB is part of the EUTOPIA university alliance and I am glad to host the colleagues of the alliance in Cluj-Napoca. We hold periodic meetings in member universities, and now it is UBB’s turn. Within the meeting held at UBB, there will be discussions on EUTOPIA projects, visits to UBB and the city’s infrastructures, there will be meetings with stakeholders from the Cluj ecosystem (i.e., the academic community/ companies/ authorities etc.), and we will draw pragmatic analyses of the way EUTOPIA (through UBB and globally) can assist the crisis of Ukrainian refugees. EUTOPIA is one of the important mechanisms through which UBB acts internationally as a global actor”, said the UBB rector, Prof. Daniel David.
