A new edition of “The University of the Third Age”, organised by the BBU Foundation

January 19th, 2022

The BBU Foundation is once again glad to organise the LifeLong Learning project addressed to the city’s senior citizens, the 2021-2022 edition of the event “The University of the Third Age”, in partnership with the EduNation Association and the Cluj-Napoca Town Hall.

Due to sanitary conditions and current regulations, the programme will unfold online, on a dedicated platform.

“We wish to build a programme of 1 or 2 meetings/week, of 50 minutes each, which could take place in the morning, during the entire academic year, on fix dates depending on the volunteers’ availability. We want to offer courses where we can promote science, and the topics can vary by fields. They may refer to a varied areal of interests, from Romanian or universal literature, history, biology, public health, psychology, history of art, or cultural studies, developed for an educated audience, uninitiated, third-aged, who uses the online educational resources moderately. Based on registrations, we will try to group the topics so as to get a generally coherent programme”, said the organisers.

Within this context, we invite the faculties/ departments to “adopt” a 4-5-course/-topic module. You may register (by filling in this form) for one lecture or more. At the end of the activity, the BBU Foundation will issue a certificate of attendance. BBU academic staff and doctoral students may hold lectures.

We ask that you fill in the abovementioned form and send it to fundatiaubb.u3a@gmail.com. For more details, please call the project manager Monica Coste Ph.D., tel.: 0766727369.
