Babeș-Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca (UBB) has signed an interuniversity cooperation agreement with Paris-Saclay University (UPS) to develop long-term partnership activities with this prestigious higher education and research institution.
“Apart from UBB’s partnerships with the world’s major universities in various academic projects – consortia, grants, more exclusive organizations, etc. -, which has become a tradition at our university, UBB has bilateral partnerships, strategic mainly, with such universities. Therefore, after UBB’s joining the GUILD – the exclusive organization of some of the most representative world-class European universities -, I am happy to be now developing this new academic partnership with one of the most representative universities in France and the world,” said the UBB rector, professor Daniel David, PhD.
Being ranked the first university in France and in top 15 in the Shanghai 2020 world ranking, Paris-Saclay University has federated together, around Paris XI Sud-Orsay, elite institutes such as École Normale Supérieure de Cachan, AgroParisTech or CentraleSupélec, and universities such as Versailles and Evry.
The cooperation between Babeș-Bolyai University and Paris-Saclay University will mainly cover fields such as natural science, social and political science, mathematics, law, and physical education.
